Diarmuid McArdle
Business Development
Diarmuid has worked in commercial banking and property finance for more than 20 years, including positions with Citibank, Bank of Scotland (Ireland), and Anglo Irish Bank. In 2011, he became self-employed, operating as a corporate debt resolution advisor in the property sector. Areas of focus included debt resolution, exit strategy, and refinance options.
Throughout his career, Diarmuid successfully negotiated resolutions for clients with NAMA, BOSI, and Ulster Bank, as well as second tier equity houses like Lonestar, Apollo, Goldman Sachs, Cerberus, and more. He also held directorships in property development companies, both domestically and internationally, where he was tasked with raising both equity investment and debt financing.
Starting in May, 2018, Diarmuid came on board at Castlehaven. It is now his responsibility to originate new development funding projects using his existing network as he cultivates and maintains relationships with our clients and their advisors, such as valuers, agents, solicitors, and accountants.
Outside of work, Diarmuid’s interests include playing in and attending sporting events, including golf, rugby, GAA, and soccer. Diarmuid is originally from Dublin.
